Property in this region of Turkey has shown an annual average increase in prices of 22% and in some cases substantially more. if we take a look at the development in countries such as Spain and Greece, we can see that prices throughout the last 15 years have been continuously increasing. This same development could happen in Turkey. It can be seen already in the price increases on properties in Alanya in recent years.

Turkey was ranked as the third best place to buy property by Channel 4 TV. The research done by Amanda Lamb, the presenter of "A Place in the Sun" on Channel 4 based on thousands of interviews and visits abroad reveals that Turkey was ranked as the third best overseas property market. A one-hour special programme called "20 Best Places to Buy in the Sun" was broadcast at 8pm on January 5, 2005
